Breaking news in Union County, two deputies are recovering after their car was hit by an 18-wheeler. Right now, US 601 North between Lawyers and NC 218 is closed.
The Union County Sheriff Department just confirmed that two Deputies were hit by a car that attempted to pass several vehicles. After that the deputies were hit by the semi.
They’re expected to be okay but were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
