People Are Giving Up On Being Healthy For The Rest Of The Year
Lots of people are ditching their diet as the holidays get closer. As many as 45% of Americans say they are giving up any attempt to be healthy until January. That’s according to new research commissioned by nutritional-supplement company Herbalife.
The average American packs on an extra six pounds in holiday weight between Thanksgiving and the end of the year. Less than 1 in 10 will make it through the holidays without gaining a little weight. So, where do those extra pounds come from?
The average holiday meal has around 4,500 calories and 229 grams of fat. And nearly half of Americans say they will eat dinner twice on Thanksgiving. Meanwhile: 30% of Americans say they have eaten to the point of feeling sick and 40% say they ate so much holiday food, that they had to loosen a button on their pants.
So what’s your favorite holiday indulgence?
