All Lanes Reopened On Providence Road After Downed Tree and Power Line Repair

Officials say all lanes on Providence Road have reopened to traffic. 

Crews worked for hours on Thursday to remove a tree from the roadway and restore power to residents in the area.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Providence Road is closed between Fairview Road and International Drive indefinitely due to a downed tree and telephone pole, police say.

The road is closed in both directions.

Drivers, be careful as you head out this morning as the rain continues to be heavy and roads are slick.

Use Colony, Carmel or Monroe roads as alternate routes.
