Wintry Mix and Heavy Rain Moving Out
Wintry mix making for dangerous conditions across the high country. Up to 1/2″ of ice in some spots with accidents and power outages being reported. Heavy rain for the morning commute for the rest of the region. We’ll begin to see the rain taper off by late morning, early afternoon. A few lingering showers will be possible, otherwise it’s going to be cold with highs struggling to break into the 40s.
Overnight, we could see a few snow showers and flurries north of I-40. Accumulations will be light at best. Temps will drop below freezing, so that means we could have some icy spots for the higher elevations tomorrow morning.
Sunshine returns on Friday with highs in the mid 50s. Temps will still be below average for the weekend, but closer to normal than we’ve been. Sunny and dry through much of the next week.
