Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade Draws 100K

CHARLOTTE, NC — An estimated 100,ooo people lined uptown’s streets for the annual Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade. This was the 71st year for the parade.

There were 8 balloons, 13 marching bands and 17 floats.

“She loves the dragon,” said Paul Slowikowski, indicating his young daughter. “There’s a huge dragon, a golden dragon, but its really great and she looks forward to that. Plus Santa Clause.”

The Novant Health parade is the largest Thanksgiving Day parade in the southeast.
