Cold Days Ahead

Brrrrr! Waking up to below freezing temps for many this morning. Highs today will only reach the mid to upper 40s for the Piedmont, and they won’t be getting out of the 20s for the higher elevations! The first hard freeze of the season will likely happen this evening as lows dip into the 20s area wide. A Wind Chill Advisory goes into effect beginning at 8pm until 8am Wednesday morning for the Mountains as wind chills dip below zero. Wednesday will be the chilliest day with highs not breaking the mid 40s. Seasonable temps return by Friday, but so do the rain chances. Temps will be in the 60s for the weekend, but rain will also be making a comeback.
