More than 20 million people in the northeast are under winter weather advisories as a snowstorm makes its way east, creating more travel headaches over the next few days.

As of now, FlightAware is reporting more than 500 flights have been cancelled nationwide.

The massive snowstorm has already dumped about 60 inches of snow on the Midwest.

The blizzard-like conditions forced more than 2,800 flights to cancel today.

Nearly half of those were to and from O’Hare Intentional Airport in Chicago.

If you are traveling to the northeast, make sure you check your airline for flight status and re-booking options.

At least seven flights are cancelled at Charlotte-Douglas Airport today because of the winter storm.
