5 Teens Arrested In Connection To Multiple Charlotte Armed Robberies

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD says the five suspects who led officers on a vehicle chase Wednesday night that ended in an east Charlotte crash were wanted in connection to several armed robberies.

The suspects have been identified as Kaiterrance Moore, 17, Jamaree Edwards, 16, Tajhier Ordde, 16, Kadijah Whitlock, 16, and a 14-year-old juvenile. Each of them are now facing multiple charges related to the crimes.

On November 24, police say one of the suspects carjacked a man at gunpoint around 7:48pm on East WT Harris Boulevard. Around 9:35am on November 27, two of the suspects robbed another victim at gunpoint on Conference Lane before taking off in the same vehicle.

Shortly after 6pm on Wednesday, officers say they tried to stop a vehicle matching the description of the one used in that robbery. The suspects attempted to lose pursuing officers, and reportedly struck several vehicles on Eastway Drive near Shamrock Drive before trying to escape on foot.

All five of the vehicle’s occupants were taken into custody following a brief foot chase involving aviation and K-9 units. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.

Investigators say all of the suspects have been charged with Resisting Arrest.

Whitlock, Edwards and Moore are also each charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Moore is additionally charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Handgun by a Minor and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Edwards is also charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Handgun by a Minor. Whitlock faces one additional charge of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
