Two Arrested After Alleged Robbery And Assault Of Gaston County Man

LINCOLN COUNTY, NC — Authorities have arrested two men accused of assaulting and robbing a Stanley, NC man on Saturday, November 17.

The crime happened on McIntosh Road in Stanley. Officials say the suspects, 21-year-old Demetrius Anderson and 22-year-old Damarius Valentine, both of Stanley, assaulted the victim and stole money from his wallet.

The victim was reportedly transported to the hospital and treated for a head injury.

Authorities say Anderson was located on November 29 while staying at a home on Hubbard Street in Lincolnton. He was arrested by Lincoln County deputies and officers with the Lincolnton Police Department.

Anderson is charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.

Valentine was arrested on Old Plank Road in Stanley on November 30. He is charged with Aiding and Abetting an Armed Robbery.
