Panthers Place Olsen On Injured Reserve

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have officially placed tight end Greg Olsen on injured reserve, ending his 2018 season.

Olsen, 33, suffered a foot injury in Carolina’s 24-17 loss to Tampa Bay last Sunday. He appeared in nine games this season totaling 27 catches for 291 yards and four touchdowns.

Carolina signed wide receiver Mose Frazier to the 53-man active roster from the practice squad to fill Olsen’s spot.

Frazier has been on Carolina’s practice squad for the majority of the last two seasons, but was signed to the active  roster for the final week of the 2017 season and the playoffs.
