Authorities Charge 5 Suspects After Busting Drug Trafficking Ring In Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, SC — Authorities from several local and federal agencies arrested five suspects Friday morning on more than 35 warrants, including over a dozen drug trafficking charges.

Officials say two homes on Barker Lane in Lancaster, another home on Sedgefield Drive and M&M Auto Sales and Parts on Kershaw Camden Highway, both in Kershaw, were raided on November 30th.

Following the execution of four search warrants, investigators arrested and charged Hayzier Gladden, 24, Stefan Perry, 46, Tamara Cameron, 36, Jizmine Williams, 24, and Michael Borquez, Jr., 30, on 37 warrants that include 13 charges of drug trafficking.

The warrants were executed by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, along with the ATF and members of the York County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation resulted from information and contraband gathered during a routine traffic stop on November 19th, according to Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile.

During the searches on Barker Lane, officials say they seized more than 50 grams of Heroin, nearly 2.5 pounds of Methamphetamine, over 7.5 pounds of pills believed to be Oxycodone, over 15 grams of Marijuana, more than 1,700 dosage units of MDMA or Ecstasy, and drug paraphernalia. Eight semiautomatic pistols, multiple ammo magazines, various calibers of ammunition, and more than $10,500 in cash was also reportedly seized.

Detectives say the drugs and loaded weapons were accessible to a 4-year-old and 3-year-old who were also found inside the homes.

At the Sedgefield Drive and M&M Auto locations, authorities say they uncovered an assortment of nearly 2,500 pills believed to be Oxycodone Hydrochloride, Acetaminophen/Oxycodone Hydrochloride, Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine, Acetaminophen and Codeine Phosphate, Amphetamine and Tramadol Hydrochloride, Tramadol Hydrochloride, and Phentermine Hydrochloride. Officials say two semiautomatic pistols, a .22 caliber rifle, ammunition and over $650 in cash was also seized.
