Kevin Hart Out As Oscars Host
Kevin Hart is out as the host of the 2019 Oscars over anti-gay tweets from 2009 and 2010. Hart made the announcement on Twitter Thursday, two days after he was chosen for the role. Before he stepped down Thursday, Hart posted a video on Instagram, where he said the Academy asked h im to apologize for the tweets or quit.
Hart did later apologize on Twitter.
He said his words were insensitive and he is sorry that he hurt people.
This situation is reminding people of a similar issue with guardians of the galaxy director James Gunn.
Gunn was removed from the third guardians movie over inappropriate tweets, many from 2009 and 2010.
How long should you be held accountable for your actions after having addressed and apologized for them?
