CHARLOTTE, NC– Authorities say they responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call onΒ Glory Meadow Court early Sunday Morning.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim and a five year old victim who had been shot, inside a residence.
The victims were transported to the hospital and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting reportedly occurred while the victims were inside the residence and left the female victim with a gunshot wound to her arm and the child suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
Officers say they searched the area to locate any potential witnesses to the shooting.
There are no suspects in custody at this time.
