Should The Panthers Sign Colin Kaepernick In The Off-Season?

CHARLOTTE, NC — Cam Newton will be inactive for Sunday’s game against Atlanta, and he likely won’t play at New Orleans in week 17. Instead, backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke will make his first career start for the Panthers.

Cam says his shoulder soreness hasn’t gotten better, or worse, over the past few weeks but you could see it was affecting his game Monday night.

While the Panthers may still technically have a chance at the playoffs, Head Coach Ron Rivera says this is the right move.

After signing one seemingly controversial player, Eric Reid, earlier in the season, many wonder if the Panthers should do the same thing again.
