KANNAPOLIS, NC — Police are investigating an armed robbery and shooting that happened at a business early Friday morning.
The crime happened around 6:30am at Carolina Taxi on S. Main Street. Police say two black male suspects entered the business and tried to rob an employee at gunpoint.
The suspects reportedly shot the employee twice before taking off. He was transported to Northeast Medical Center, officials say, and is in stable condition.
This investigation is ongoing. No other details have been released at this time.
