FB Has Secret Rule Book For Political Speech

You may not have known this but Facebook has a secret, regularly updated rule book for political speech. According to a New York Times report, those rules show the social network is much more influential on speech than the company has acknowledged. The Times report discovered gaps, biases and outright errors including some where Facebook allowed extremism to spread while censoring mainstream speech. That could partially be blamed on who is moderating.

Facebook outsources much of the moderation to other companies whose employees get about 10 seconds to consider each post.
