Man Faces Multiple Charges After Overnight Shooting In Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, SC — A man is facing multiple charges after police say he fired several shots at a home shortly after midnight Thursday as part of a domestic dispute.

Mister Miller, 39, is charged with Discharging a Firearm in the City Limits, First Degree Assault and Battery, First Degree Domestic Violence, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun, Possession of Marijuana – First Offense, Open Container of Beer or Wine in a Moving Vehicle, and Driving Under Suspicion – First Offense.

The incident reportedly happened around 12:15am at a home on Scoggins Street near Maple Street. Police say the victim, and mother of Miller’s child, was at her mom’s house when she heard three shots being fired outside of the residence.

The victim told police she saw Miller driving by in his black 2005 Ford Crown Victoria just before the shooting, and hid in the bathroom while she called 911.

Officers say Miller’s vehicle was quickly located and stopped on Porter Road. A black revolver with four spent casings and one live round still in the chamber was found inside the vehicle, as well as an open beer container that was mostly empty.

A 16 gram bag of marijuana was also found in Miller’s pocket, according to police, and he had a strong smell of alcohol at the time of his arrest.

According to investigators, the victim reported having a verbal altercation with Miller early Thursday, which escalated throughout the day.

Police say Miller began sending threatening messages, showed up at the victim’s workplace unannounced, and then threatened to shoot up her mother’s home about 20 minutes before the reported shooting took place.

According to police, no one was injured during the shooting and no damage has been found to the home. This is an ongoing investigation.
