Judge Sentences Man Accused Of Robbing Multiple Charlotte Businesses

CHARLOTTE, NC — Antonio Gaines, 28, has been sentenced to at least seven years in prison for robbing three Charlotte businesses at gunpoint.

Gaines was sentenced to 85-114 months in prison on Friday. He was accused of armed robbery at the Fish House at 6040 The Plaza around 10:20am on August 18, 2017. Police say Gaines pulled a gun and robbed the store.

Investigators say Gaines was also responsible for robberies at the Arcade Room on N. Tryon Street and the SBL Business Center on S. Tryon Street.

Gaines was charged with three counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, two counts of 2nd degree Kidnapping, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill.
