Local Companies Offer Assistance To Federal Employees Impacted By Government Shutdown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Roughly 800,000 federal employees have not been receiving a paycheck due to the government shutdown.  Several businesses in the Charlotte area and nationally are offering assistance to families impacted by the shutdown.

Slam Charlotte – Free admission to poetry readings at Booth Playhouse

Sky Zone – Free hour of jump time every Tuesday through Thursday until January 31st

Salon M2 – Free hair cuts

The Color Bar – Free hair cuts

Pet Care:

Banfield Pet Hospital – Flexible payment options

NODA Bark and Board – Daycare and boarding fees waived for clients who are federal employees

Financial Institutions:

Chase – Offering fee reversals and waiving monthly service fees

Wells Fargo – Offering fee reversals and waivers

Cable, Television & Communication Networks:

AT&T – Flexible payment options

Comcast – Flexible payment options

DirecTV – Bill pay extension
