Police: Teen Shot In South Charlotte, Sent To Hospital With Minor Injuries

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A teenager is in the hospital after police say he was shot in South Charlotte overnight.

Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were called around 3:30 p.m. to Pebblestone Drive at Village Lake Drive where an older teen was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medic transported him to an area hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries.

Police have not released any information on the suspect or a motive behind the shooting.

But they do say the shooter possibly took off from scene in a car.

The shooting is under investigation.
