25-Year-Old Man Shot And Killed In Gastonia, Police Say Shooting Was Not Random

GASTONIA, N.C. — A man is dead after a shooting occurred at a residence in Gastonia on Monday, police say.

Officers with the Gastonia Police Department were called just before 10 p.m. to 1609 W. McFarland Avenue where they found 25-year-old Issac Laquarriss Markinn Lynn suffering from a gunshot wound.

Markinn Lynn was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Investigators say the shooting was not random and all parties involved have been identified.

They are working to determine if the shooting was accidental and if any charges will be filed.
