Two Arrested On Multiple Drug Related Charges In Burke County

MORGANTON, NC — A man and woman are facing several drug related charges after deputies raided their home on January 17th.

According to a release, Burke County Narcotics detectives were investigating reports of drug related activity and stolen property when they served search warrants at a home on Mill Race Road.

Once inside the home, officials say they located and seized an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia. The home’s residents, Tony Duckworth, 61, and Ruth Tevepaugh, 59, were also taken into custody.

Duckworth is charged with Simple Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

Tevepaugh is charged with Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for Controlled Substances, Possession of a Schedule II (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
