Charlotte Fire Crews Battle 3-Alarm Business Fire Near Uptown
CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Fire investigators are trying to determine what sparked a three alarm fire Friday evening near Uptown.
The fire broke out around 5:50pm at a commercial building on Louise Avenue near the Belmont neighborhood. Crews say heavy smoke was found inside when they arrived, which resulted in a second and third alarm being pulled within an hour.
Officials say it took more than 60 firefighters about 80 minutes to control the blaze. No injuries were reported.
At this time, investigators say they’re still trying to determine what caused the fire. Check back for updates.
