Buster’s Strip Club In Statesville Gets Busted
STATESVILLE, NC — The owner and operator of Buster’s Strip Club in Iredell County is facing charges after authorities served a search warrant as part of an investigation into complaints.
58-year-old David Yates let WCCB inside the building on Bethesda Road on Monday. He says law enforcement took out a pole that had been installed on the dance floor, as well as a swing.
Yates was the only person at the club when agents served the warrant. He is charged with Selling Alcohol Without a License.
Officers say they also found marijuana and weapons inside the club.
Yates didn’t want to talk on camera, but tells WCCB he considered the space to be his private man cave.
When asked about the club, one of Yates’ neighbors, Ronnie Jones said, “I never heard anything in the four years I’ve lived here. I take my dogs out at night and never heard any loud music, no partying, yelling, anything.”
North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement agents started investigating after they got anonymous complaints “from the community.”
