Deputies Identify Victims In Alexander County Double Murder

ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — Two men were found dead inside a home in Alexander County on Saturday.

Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office say the murder happened around mid-day on Mount Wesley Church Road.

The victims have been identified as Chad Kennedy, 38, and Mark Furey, 57, of Taylorsville. Authorities say Kennedy lived at the residence.

Investigators say a friend came by the house and found the two men dead of multiple gunshot wounds.

Four neighbors in the area reported a person walking to each of their mobile homes around 1am on Saturday. They told deputies the person would knock on their doors, as well as the side of the mobile homes.
