CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have charged a man taken into custody Tuesday morning following a domestic dispute that led to shots being fired near a police station and a car crash in east Charlotte.

Kendrick Piggie, 29, is charged with Attempted Murder, five counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, four counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon in the Presence of a Minor, Communicating Threats, Firearm by Felon, and 5 counts of Shooting into an Occupied Conveyance.

Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say a woman went to the CMPD team office on North Sharon Amity Road just before 10am with her four children to seek help.

Piggie reportedly followed the woman and crashed into her vehicle multiple times.  He then fired shots into the air and rammed her vehicle once more as he fled the scene, according to police.
