MATTHEWS, NC — Authorities are investigating a deadly accident that happened Thursday night at Highway 74 and I-485.
The accident happened shortly after 7pm on the Independence Boulevard ramp to I-485 outer. Medic has pronounced one person dead.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating. Authorities have not said what may have led to the crash.
This is the second deadly accident to occur on I-485 in two days.
