Rowan County Man Charged With Cabarrus County Restaurant Break-Ins

CONCORD, N.C. — A Rowan County man has been charged with a series of break-ins at two Concord, North Carolina restaurants.

Vernon Jerome Thompson, 43, has been charged with nine counts of Felony Breaking and Entering and four counts of Larceny after Breaking and Entering.

Thompson is accused of breaking into the Breakfast Time restaurants at 1170 Copperfield Boulevard NE and 750 Cabarrus Avenue West in Concord.

The Concord Police Department says Thompson was developed as a suspect following a six-month investigation and the results of forensic testing on evidence collected at the restaurants.

The Rowan county Sheriff’s Department arrested Thompson during a traffic stop on Thursday, February 28th.
