Police Investigating Weekend Shooting At Rock Hill Party

ROCK HILL, SC — Police are searching for answers after a man was shot in the leg at a party shortly after midnight Sunday.

The shooting happened around 12:20am in the parking lot of the Masonic Lodge on Crawford Road. The victim, a 23-year-old man, was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment, and that’s when Rock Hill Police say they were contacted.

The victim reportedly told officers he had just arrived at the party when he heard three gunshots behind him and was hit in the back of the leg. Police say the victim did not see who fired the shots.

According to reports, the victim had a shoulder holster in his possession at the hospital but told officers he was not armed during the shooting.

Police are still searching for information on a possible suspect and motive.
