R. Kelly Claims His Innocence In Explosive Interview
R. Kelly is back behind bars in Chicago, but not because of his sexual abuse case.
The embattled singer was arrested Wednesday afternoon for failing to pay child support.
His arrest came just hours after ‘CBS This Morning’ aired an explosive one on one with anchor Gayle King.
People are now heaping praise on King for how she handled the emotionally-charged interview.
It was the singer’s first interview since he pleaded not guilty to ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse in February.
Three of his four accusers are underage.
R. Kelly told King they and the women who spoke out in the Lifetime documentary ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ are all lying.
“You can start a rumor on a guy like me or a celebrity just like that. All you have to do is push a button on your phone and say so and so did this to me, R. Kelly did this to me,” Kelly said. “If you get any traction from that, if you’re able to write a book from that, if you’re able to get a reality show.”
The singer denied any wrong-doing when King asked him point-blank if he ever had sex with underage girls.
When King pressed him even more, Kelly jumped from his chair and started crying,
R. Kelly told King he has ‘absolutely not’ broken any laws when it comes to women.
