The fire was first reported around 2:45am at the Avalon Apartments on Kelston Place.

No apartments were damaged by the flames and no one was hurt.  Police say the fire caused approximately $300,000 in damages.

This is the second arson being investigated at an apartment complex in the last week.  However, police say they do not believe this arson is connected to the arson on Prospect Drive that happened on March 7th.

Anyone with information on these cases is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
