Two Suspects Charged In Connection To Chester Shooting

CHESTER, SC — Chester Police say two suspects have been charged in connection to a March 6th shooting that left a 16-year-old juvenile injured.

Antwoine Simpson, 18, and a 15-year-old juvenile are both facing charges related to the case. Police say Simpson was arrested on Friday, March 8th and the juvenile was arrested on Tuesday, March 12th in Rock Hill.

The shooting happened around 4:35pm in the area of Starnes Street and Floyd Street. Police say they located the victim at Chester Regional Medical Center after he was admitted with a gunshot wound.

Police have still not said what led to the shooting.

Simpson is charged with Accessory after the Fact of a Felony. The juvenile is charged with Attempted Murder, Pointing and Presenting, and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.
