ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A child abuse suspect has been added to the Rowan County Most Wanted List, and authorities are asking the public for help locating him.

Brandon Scott Meeks

The Rowan County Special Victim’s Unit began investigating an abuse case in December of 2018, after the child was taken to the hospital with genital injuries and bruising on his body.

The injuries were determined to be non-accidental trauma and the child later forensically interviewed at the Terrie Hess House Child Advocacy Center In Salisbury.

Meeks and the child’s mother, 25-year-old Hannah Eller, were developed as suspects during the investigation.

The investigation also revealed Meeks had held the child under water in the bathtub as a form of punishment.  Detectives say Eller was aware of the abuse and present when some of the incidents occurred but failed to stop, prevent, or report the abuse.

Hannah Eller was arrested on Saturday, March 9th and placed in the Rowan County Jail under a $75,000 bond,

Meeks is still at large and faces other outstanding orders for his arrest for failing to appear for unrelated court dates.
