Lancaster Man Facing Multiple Drug, Weapon Related Charges
LANCASTER, SC — A Lancaster County man is facing multiple drug and weapons related charges following a search of his home last Thursday morning.
Deputies say they were looking for a different suspect wanted by another jurisdiction when they executed a search warrant around 11am at a home on Palidin Road. While searching the home, investigators say they noticed a rifle and marijuana odor coming from the room of Daqwevius Stewart, 22.
After obtained additional search warrants, authorities say they seized 1,054 grams (2.35 lbs) of marijuana, 23 Ecstacy pills, scales, ammunition, ammo magazines, and a stolen rifle with a butt stock that was shorter than that allowed under South Carolina law.
Stewart is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of More than 15 Dosage Units of Ecstasy, Possession of a Sawed Off Rifle, and Possession of Stolen Goods.
