Novant Health: Parkinson’s Disease

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Worldwide, more than 10 million people are living with Parkinson’s disease. By 2020, nearly one million people will be living with the disease in the United States, which is more than the number of people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and Lou Gehrig’s disease combined.

April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month and Dr. James Battista, a neurologist and movement disorder specialist from Novant Health, joined Rising to tell us more.
