Microsoft Banning April Fools Day Pranks
One company is taking a stand against April Fool Jokes in the workplace. Microsoft is banning employees from pulling any April Fools Day pranks this year.
A memo was sent out to all employees this week. The companies marketing executive says he’s worried some of the pranks might get taken to seriously. A prime example is Google’s 2016 gmail mic drop prank.
Google incorporated a special send button that added a gif of a minion from “Despicable Me” dramatically dropping a microphone at the bottom of emails.
One user said they hit the send button by accident to their boss and it cost them their job.
Should other companies do the same?
