Just seconds before the suspect took control of the vehicle, MEDIC says a two person crew had loaded a patient into the back of the truck and were preparing to treat. The crew quickly got out with the patient however, before the man could take off.

After crashing into several vehicles, the suspect jumped out of the truck and was quickly taken into custody by responding officers.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

CMPD says the suspect has been taken to a local hospital for evaluation. His name will be released once formal charges have been filed.
