Chance for Morning Snow and Rain

Two disturbances will interact across the Piedmont today. Upper air analysis shows that there is potential for snow development during the mid to late morning hours. Based on ground temps little to no accumulation is likely – as long as snowfall rates remain light. Funny enough this pocket looks to develop near the I-77 corridor and areas south and east which could impact the Charlotte Metro area. By the afternoon this disturbance will be clearing out along with the clouds for daytime highs to reach the low 50s. Much warmer the rest of the week with highs near 70 tomorrow. Chance for rain returns by Friday.
