ROCK HILL, SC — A 58-year-old man was killed Tuesday night after a head-on collision involving himself and three other vehicles.
The York County Coroner’s Office says Lloyd Logan died at the scene. Logan was seat belted, troopers say, but had to be extracted from his 2003 Dodge pick-up by rescue crews.
According to investigators with the SCHP, Logan crossed the center line on Highway 5 around 9:07pm and hit a 2015 Chevrolet head-on. That vehicle reportedly ran off the side of the road and struck a tree following the initial impact.
Troopers say Logan was then hit head-on by a 2006 Freight Liner and sideswiped in the rear by a 2016 Ford pickup.
None of the other drivers were transported, but troopers say they did receive minor injuries.
The Coroner’s Office says autopsy and toxicology results on Logan are pending.
