Unsettled Afternoon, Drier Weather Returns Wednesday

Today brings on the chance for another round of strong to even a severe storm, or two. The morning will begin quiet, with maybe a spotty shower, or two. Depending on how conditions come together for the afternoon, a few organized thunderstorms could become severe with the the biggest threat being damaging wind. The southern Piedmont has the best shot at these stronger storms developing. Tonight, we will begin to see clearing with drier air moving back into place. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s through the week with mainly quiet weather until Friday. Showers and a storm or two will be possible on Friday. Sunny and almost hot for Saturday with highs near 80 and the return of storms to end the weekend on Sunday.
