SALISBURY, N.C. — Officials say a parent involved in the booster club for West Rowan Middle School’s band has been charged with embezzling funds.
Detectives with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office met with the school’s band director who provided statements showing several unauthorized transactions, according to a news release.
Detectives say the investigation revealed that all the transactions in question were made by the same debit card that was issued to one of the parents involved in the band boosters club.
Nanette Isenhour, 48, was arrested and charged with two counts of embezzlement of funds by a public officer/trustee. It was determined that Isenhour charged $2,708.09 on the debit card, according to a news release. Isenhour was issued a $5,000 secured bond.
