Search Warrant Leads To Felony Drug Arrests In Iredell County

TROUTMAN, N.C. — Deputies say a knock and talk meeting in Troutman ended with two people being arrested on felony drug charges.

Investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office were reportedly following up on a narcotics tip by conducting a knock and talk meeting at a residence on Murdock Road in Troutman.

The deputies say the noticed a very strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the home after they made contact with the homeowners.

After further discussion with the residents about the smell, deputies say a search warrant for the home was obtained.

As a result of the search, deputies located and seized 66.3 grams of marijuana, marijuana wax, marijuana paraphernalia and $6,904.63, according to a news release.

Shelby Fraley, 34, and Rachel Pressley, 24, were both taken into custody.

Fraley was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Felony Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled
Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Pressley was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Felony Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Fraley and Pressley were both issued a $20,000 secured bond.
