Unsettled Weekend

Showers return to the forecast today. Light rain already falling this morning and will continue on and off throughout the day with the chance for an afternoon thunderstorm. This boundary will hang over the area through Saturday keeping the rain and storm chances in play. It will feel a bit soupy with highs in the mid to upper 70s and overnight lows down to the low 60s. Sunday is when things will get a little bit tricky as a stronger system could bring strong to severe storms for the region. The biggest threat will be damaging wind and heavy rain, but we cannot rule out the risk of an isolated tornado. Dry and cool weather return early next week. Temperatures back in the mid-70s by mid week.
