CMPD Asks Public For Help Identifying Robbery Suspect

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is trying to identify a suspect wanted in connection to an armed robbery.

The crime happened around 9:30 Tuesday night at the New South Kitchen on Providence Road. Police say suspects entered the building through the back door and one was armed with a handgun.

A suspect reportedly acted as a lookout while the second suspect took money from a safe located in a back office. The suspects are believed to have taken off on foot, police say.
