CMPD To Host Bridge The Difference Event At ImaginOn

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department will be hosting a Bridge the Difference event tomorrow, April 18, 2019. The event will be held at ImaginOn (300 East 7th Street) and begin at 2:00 p.m.

This event is provided through our partnership with Generation Nation and the Young Black Leaders Association and will be tailored for the youth in our community. By focusing on students in the 8th through 10th grades, members of the panel will be providing incite on how to build a positive future through awareness of opportunities and resources.

The keynote speaker will be James Ford, a former North Carolina Teacher of the Year and founder of the Be More Foundation.

Panel members consist of CMPD Chief Kerr Putney, a Vice President of Bank of America, a life coach and author, Righteous Keitt, and a college admissions counselor.
