Should The Robert Kraft Video Be Released?
The fight over a video allegedly showing New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft inside a Florida massage parlor is heating up.
Wednesday a judge issued a protective order blocking the release of that video, for now.
Prosecutors pushed for the video to be made public earlier in the day and Kraft’s legal team jumped in to file an emergency motion to block it.
The video allegedly shows Kraft engaged in a sex act.
The 77-year-old and 24 other men are charged in the prostitution case, but Kraft’s team strongly denies he has done anything illegal.
They say releasing the video will violate Kraft’s constitutional rights and hurt his chance at a fair trial.
Meanwhile, the Palm Beach State Attorney’s Office says Florida state law compels them to release the video as part of open records requests.
They would blur anything obscene or pornographic before it’s released to the public unless a judge says it can’t be released.
A hearing is set for April 29.
