Shooting Suspect Wanted By Salisbury Police

SALISBURY, NC — Police are trying to find a suspect accused of shooting a man at an apartment complex Sunday evening.

Salisbury Police say 29-year-old Corey Sims shot Michael Connor, Jr., 32, multiple times at the Brookview Apartments on South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Connor was taken to Novant Health Rowan in a private vehicle, officials say, and transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical by helicopter. There is no update on his condition at this time.

Police say Sims is wanted for Attempted First Degree Murder, and should not be approached if seen. Authorities say he may be in the Mocksville area.
