Hickory Police Seek Suspect In 3 Armed Robberies Cases

HICKORY, NC — Police are trying to identify a man they say may have committed three armed robberies at local businesses.

The robberies took place throughout the month of April. Police say the suspect in each case entered the store with a handgun, demanded money from the cash drawers and took off on foot.

The robberies occurred as follows:

Around 9:52pm on April 2nd, the suspect robbed the Cubbard Express on 2nd Street NE. Police say the suspect left the store heading toward The Abbey Apartments.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned Black male wearing a gray hoodie, blue jean pants, and a bandanna around his face.

On April 11th, the suspect robbed the Speedway convenience store on N. Center Street around 10:47pm.

The suspect was described as a dark-skinned, slender-build black male, wearing a black hoodie, khaki pants, gloves and a mask.

At 12:13am on April 18th, police say the suspect robbed the Walgreens on N. Center Street.

The suspect was described as a a tall, thin, Black male, wearing a black hoodie, black shoes and a red bandana.

Hickory Police have released the following image of a person of interest connected to the Walgreens robbery.
