One Dead After Structure Collapse In Cabarrus County

CABARRUS COUNTY, NC — A person has reportedly died after a structure collapsed Friday evening near Concord.

The incident happened shortly before 6pm at a home on Zion Church Road. Three people were reportedly inside a large shed behind the house that collapsed due to gusty winds.

Officials have confirmed one person died in the collapse and another was injured. That person has been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
