On April 10th, 2019, detectives began an investigation after Pro Printing in Indian Trail reported an unauthorized transfer of funds from their checking account was applied toward a personal loan that Tramiel Platt had at another bank.

The investigation determined Platt was a frequent customer at Pro Printing, where he ordered uniforms and sports apparel for the Mint Hill Athletic Association, as the commissioner of the league.

Investigators believe Platt had been in Pro Printing just before the fraudulent transaction was made.  Detectives say he likely took a photograph of a check lying on a desk and then used the bank account information from the Pro Printing check to make an online payment toward his vehicle loan.
